Welcome to our bright and cheerful Arrowsic Island cottage. There is no doubt that the coast of Maine is a beautiful area to vacation in, but are you looking for a unique home to experience as well? Step back in time with our 2 bedroom 1940's bungalow that has been meticulously maintained, keeping the original character of the home present and alive.
The retro feel is seen and felt throughout the house. The rear entrance opens into a zesty yellow and periwinkle kitchen with all the original features still intact. The vintage metal Sears sink cabinet has a distinct hum when you open the drawers and doors - reminding us of a time before self closing drawer slides!
Colorful? Yes!! We're artists and this home reflects our love of color. Every room has a different story to tell and the attention to detail is clear. Arts and Crafts stenciling is a consistent theme throughout the house - seen here above the wood stove and seen on the outlet covers in each room. But you have to look to find them! The sun filled sunporch has 9 windows with dry brushed trim and periwinkle walls, but turn around to see one wall covered with cedar shingles. Unique - oh, absolutely!
